Timbaland – Morning After Dark (feat. SoShy)

“Morning After Dark” is the first single released off Shock Value 2 which is slated to have a line-up of big names in the industry. When I first listened to it, I was not very impressed. It’s the cookie-cutter Timbaland track that we’ve heard many times. Also, SoShy isn’t even on the track that much, except in the refrain, which doesn’t really show us what type of artist she is. Seems like they could have gotten any girl who could talk and put her on the track, because thats pretty much all she is doing. But SoShy is Timbaland’s new project so I am sure we will be hearing from her a lot. Nonetheless, this song is catchy and grows on you after a few listens.

Also, Shock Value 2 is slated to feature a lot of big name/Top 10 artists including Miley Cyrus, Keri Hilson, Chris Brown, Katy Perry, and Justin Timberlake. There is a tentative track-listing that has been released but no word on if this will be the final one. Looks interesting…
