_YACHT – “Dystopia” (The Jackals Remix)

yacht band 2 1024x680 YACHT Dystopia (The Jackals Remix)

We loved “Dystopia” by YACHT, and we love this remix of it. The Jackals injected the track with a groovy beat to keep you dancing while the Earth is on fire. Their next album Shangri-La is out next month on June 27th, via DFA records.

_Adele – “Rolling In the Deep” (BULLWΔCK Remix)

3 Adele “Rolling In the Deep (BULLWΔCK Remix)

Lately there has been an explosion of Adele on airwaves, and I’m getting really sick of “Rolling in the Deep”. I still can’t get over the Jamie xx remix of it, but this slamming remix by BULLWΔCK is pretty sick as well. If you’re a fan of dubstep and house then you will love this.

_SebastiAn – “C.T.F.O” (feat. M.I.A.)

Sebastian+transardentes2407 SebastiAn C.T.F.O (feat. M.I.A.)

It seems like SebastiAn and M.I.A. are trying to welcome a new abbreviation for stoners, “C.T.F.O” (Chill The Fuck Out). It seems like SebastiAn isn’t giving up on motor sounds yet, as the track features industrial, electro motor sounds. This is a collaboration that fans of both artists will enjoy.

_Bon Iver – “Calgary”

bon iver Bon Iver Calgary

“Calgary” is the title of the new Bon Iver song, and also the name of a city I live a 3 hour drive from. Maybe Justin Vernon has some sort of love for Calgary, as he’s not originated from there or anything. “Calgary” shows a slight smooth transition that they’ve taken ever since their debut, For Emma, Forever Ago.

_Lady Gaga – “Marry The Night”

INEZS 28129 Lady Gaga Marry The Night

Another song titled “Marry The Night” by Lady Gaga has been released on Gagaville, the Gaga version of Farmville. (Feel free to play here). Produced by DJ White Shadow and Fernando Garibay, the track is a great opener to Born This Way in many ways: it has a smooth rhythm and flow, it’s about her strength and love for New York, it ends with a bang and leads you into the title track, promising you a great dance record ahead.

This is the one track I’ve been looking forward to the most based on a 1 minute instrumental and a line that she sung for her HBO special, and also the only song other than Judas that has reached my expectations from the album. “Marry The Night” everything I’ve hoped for: the wedding bells, the ‘Muh-muh-muh-marry’ stutter, and the minimal music in the beginning. I know this is too soon to tell, but I’m going to say it anyways: this is one of my favorite Lady Gaga songs.

A loose track “Make Time” has been just been released by Cults, which is not included in their June 7th self-titled debut album. The sunny track is probably a buzz promo song, perfect for hyping the LP.

_CREEP – “You” (feat. Nina Sky)

CREEP – You (feat Nina Sky) from OFFICIAL CREEP on Vimeo.

Monochromatic, mysterious producers CREEP have released a music video to a new (?) song, “You”, featuring hip hop duo Nina Sky. ‘Such a strange collaboration’, I thought, until I heard the actual song. Once the track starts, it all makes to make sense, and their styles merge into a sexy, lurid goth tune.

_Lady GaGa – “Hair”

gagahair 1024x1024 Lady GaGa Hair

Just last week, Lady GaGa released the promotional single “Edge of Glory”, an upbeat, happy song that went straight to #1, being pushed to airwaves last minute. One of the biggest arguments I have of it was that it was not ‘Gaga’ enough, and sounded a bit too mainstream but I ended up loving it anyways.

Today she released “Hair”, the 2nd promo single. I definitely expected a darker, fiercer song than what was delivered. (Based on the title, I expected the next big ‘fashion’ song like Bad Romance) The underlying beats and ‘happy vibes’ that the song gives out is very similiar to “Edge of Glory”. This song is great nonetheless, I loved it right away. There’s only 7 days til Born This Way comes out. Listen to it below, and download it on iTunes here.
