_Zola Jesus – “Vessel”

Zola+Jesus+STM4 Zola Jesus Vessel

This is my first time getting into Zola Jesus, the stage name of Nika Danilova. She was raised on a farm, secluded from many types of media, which has influenced her goth witch-like music in many ways. If I were to, I’d describe her as an experimental electro-expressionist. Her new track “Vessel” has been favored by many bloggers alike, and is the first glimpse of what to expect from her new album Conatus, which is going to be released on October 4th.

_Bombay Bicycle Club – “Shuffle”

bombaybicycleclub shuffle Bombay Bicycle Club Shuffle

This post is dedicated to my friend Rylea – who is more obsessed with Bombay Bicycle Club than you ever will be. They’re back with a new album and a new single, the song being titled “Shuffle” from A Different Kind of Fix, released in the end of August. A lush, tickling piano harmony takes control of the whole track, throwing you off your focus from Jack Steadman’s soft-sung British vocals.

_The Weeknd – “The Morning” (Prince Club Edit)

weeknd The Weeknd The Morning (Prince Club Edit)

The Weeknd couldn’t be generalized as dance music, not even close at all. But once you add a sick house beat to one of my favorite Weeknd tracks “The Morning“, magic happens. This Prince Club Edit isn’t a big change to the original, but at the same time it is.

_Rye Rye – “Never Will Be Mine” (feat. Robyn) (Music Video)

The ever so colorful and bright Rye Rye has made a video to her Robyn-sampling song “Never Will Be Mine”. Even though Robyn never really contributed anything to the track, she willingly volunteered to dance ever so awkwardly and sing as though if she was in pain in the video, making it that much more interesting. Also, note the illuminati-eye dresses Rye Rye is sporting as well.

_The Sounds – “Something To Die For” (Skitsnygg Remix)

sounds2009 The Sounds Something To Die For (Skitsnygg Remix)

If you are familiar with The Sounds, you might have realized that their latest album Something to Die For sounds more electro and mainstream than their original work. This is evident in the official remix of the title track, remixed by DJ and producer Skitsnygg. He transformed the song into a dirty house track. Check it out:

_Male Bonding – “Bones”

Male+Bonding+malebonding Male Bonding Bones

It was only last year that the English rockers Male Bonding released their ravishing debut album ‘Nothing Hurts’, and the trio are back to release the follow up, ‘Endless Now’. The just over 6 minute lead track from the sophomore album is titled “Bones“, a poppy-punk-noise rock song full of excitement that will put you in a trance without even noticing. Their new album will be out at the end of summer in August.

_Bermuda Bonnie – “Kohl’s” & GroopEase Deal

bermuda bonnie Bermuda Bonnie Kohls & GroopEase Deal

Way back a bit more than a year ago, I posted about the solo project that calls herself Bermuda Bonnie, formed by Philadelphia’s own Rebecca Huston . I’ve got to admit, I still listen to “Houseboat” from time to time, but I haven’t got the chance to explore deeper into her work. It’s a good thing that GroopEase is offering a special deal for her self-titled album, because when I get home today I’m going to purchase it for just 5 dollars and listen to the album (which sounds amazing based on the clips).

They’re offering a free download of “Kohl’s” though, another favorite of mine. Stream it below and make sure to check out the deal on GroopEase. (It’s invite only, so sign up with our exclusive partnership code: 5KC05JR4)

_The Blow – “Ask Me” (Demo)

1006 The Blow Ask Me (Demo)

Usually artists are not keen on demos being leaked, as it, in a way, deteriorates the element of surprise and opinion to the track. However, for The Blow, this is not the case. They (Khaela Maricic and Melissa Dyne) released a video of Khaela putting her heels on and awkwardly posing while listening to herself. The track is not as catchy as any of the tracks from her previous release, ‘Paper Television’ which included YACHT’s Jona Bechtoldt, but there’s still room for growth.
