Christian Karlsson & Pontus Winnberg, the boys behind the brilliant Miike Snow and Bloodshy & Avant have collaborated with Spank Rock to create a bumpin’ track titled “The Dance”. It’s full of energy and fun as the emcee repeatedly shouts out random words like ‘move, stop, ugh’ and sings/shouts the lyrics in a wittingly silly voice.

_Lana Del Rey – “Video Games” (Club Clique For The Bad Girls Remix)

I’ve only heard of a couple of Lana Del Rey‘s songs and I’ve already fallen in love with her. Everything from her look to her music is visually stunning. Club Clique is remixing both “Video Games” and “Blue Jeans” for her double a-side, but for now we only get to hear their take on “Video Games“. It’s definitely a more polished pop-dance track, with a solid beat and glimpses of glitter magic spread throughout the track.

_Rihanna – “We Found Love”

rihanna4 Rihanna We Found Love

Rihanna hasn’t even dropped her latest single “Cheers” from ‘Loud’ to the radio waves yet, and she has already a new album and single planned for release within the next 2 months. Calvin Harris is behind her newest single titled “We Found Love“. Even if I hadn’t known anything about this track I would’ve definitely recognized his signature modern-disco beats. Certain qualities of this track bother me though: there isn’t much depth, horrible lyrics, and that godawful cheesy buildup you should only hear in remixes at DJ shows.

Something to note about Rihanna is that she’s very, very good at making a great fusion of dance and radio hits. As awful and limited as the lyrics may be, the public will eat it up. However, the thing about this is that people hype it to an extent that makes you want to cringe after a short amount of time of it being released.
