Vinyl and Vodka is everything I hoped it would turn out to be.

Founded by Willis with the help of Luis from Pretty Much Amazing, and starting out on Mossip Blog in Jenuary of 2008, the blog was a pop culture/gossip and music blog (hence the Music + Gossip = Mossip name). Eventually, around Spring and Summer of 2009 my idea of the blog was a success, however my musical tastes have changed since then and the name did not reflect the blog name anymore.

I was out to make a new, more modern blog that mirrored my personal interests.

The name Vinyl and Vodka came from an interesting conversation between Willis and Luis – we were talking about what we would name our babies if they were twins, and one was a boy and one was a girl. In the end he said he would name his girl Vodka, and I would name my boy Vinyl.

That was when things started to click. I knew I wanted to start off a new blog, and that was the perfect name for it.

And alas, here you have the story of Vinyl and Vodka.
