_Mario & Vidis – “Changed” (feat. Ernesto)

Mario+Basanov++Vidis+Vidis++Mario+Basanov Mario & Vidis Changed (feat. Ernesto)

I stumbled across this gem the other day and couldn’t wait to share it with you guys. Lithuanian producer Mario Basanov and Vidis have collaborated with Ernesto for a track called “Changed“, which is a great minimal, nu-disco electronic track. The video is even more interesting; it features bald men who value hair (hair volleyballs, hair bookmarks, hair ice-cream, hair everything) who seem to be trying to cut off the luscious locks of a dainty girl. A bunch of remixes of this track are going to be released soon, which I will definitely share if I like them. Watch & download below:

_Foster The People – “Pumped Up Kicks” (Myndset Remix)

Foster The People Pumped Up Kicks (Myndset Remix)

Just as soon as I post a remix of “Pumped Up Kicks” by Foster the People last week, Myndset came along and revamped the whole song, making it a dance club hit. See, I’m starting to develop a big weakness for house-y electronic music. Is it because I now have a fake ID and I’m starting to go out too much? Maybe.

This jam (along with the original) is probably going to be my pre-summer jam. Pre-summer as in summer needs to come right now. My tweet just explains my love for Myndset. He is genius. Check out another great rework of Drake’s “Fancy” here if you haven’t already.

_Adele – “Set Fire To The Rain” (Plastic Plates Remix)

Adele just can’t stop getting hotter. I haven’t even begun to get sick of Jame xx’s remix of “Rolling in the Deep”, and another great remix surpasses by me. This one is by Plastic Plates, who have remixed her current single “Set Fire To The Rain”. Adele makes a great voice to disco/dance tracks, similar to Beth Ditto.

_Lykke Li – “Silence Is A Blessing” (Music Video)

Lykke Li – Sadness is a Blessing (Director Tarik Saleh) from Lykke Li on Vimeo.

Lykke Li has released a new music video to “Silence Is A Blessing“, one of my favorite tracks on Wounded Rhymes. The clip starts out with her getting incredibly wasted at some high class fancy dinner, with the other guests awkwardly staring at her. She then proceeds to start dancing in the room, with her date (or father?) attempting to stop her. I’m infatuated by her beauty that is shown in all her videos.

_Two Door Cinema Club – “Come Back Home” (Is Tropical Chilla Black Edit)

Two+Door+Cinema+Club+coffee Two Door Cinema Club “Come Back Home” (Is Tropical Chilla Black Edit)

I have no idea why, but I only got into Two Door Cinema Club’s music about 2 months ago. I’ve known about them for a while, but it took a bit for me to dig their debut album ‘Tourist History’. Is Tropical remixed one of their lesser known songs, “Come Back Home“, and titled it the ‘Chilla Black Edit’. The title makes sense – it’s a good ‘chill’ song, but with an edge that makes it opposing to the light, airy stereotypical summer ‘chill’ songs.

This is actually the first time I’ve heard of Is Tropical, and I’m loving what I’m hearing. Look forward to future posts about them soon!

_The National – “Exile Vilify”

the national exile vilify The National Exile VilifyThe National have released a track called “Exile Vilify“, and the weirdest part is that it’s for the video game Portal 2. A track as raw and emotional as this definitely doesn’t seem like it would suit any type of video game, but let’s just enjoy the track itself below:

German electronic duo Digitalism has released a second song, “2 Hearts” from ‘I Love You, Dude’, which is their follow up to their 2007′s debut ‘Idealism’. The cosmic track takes you to a spacey adventure with their trademark dance-rock hybrid.

_Peaches – “Turn It On” (Franz Ferdinand Cover)

Peaches+PNG Peaches Turn It On (Franz Ferdinand Cover)

Peaches cover Franz Ferdinand’s “Turn It On” for their exclusive Record Day covers EP in her signature bad-ass electro style. She rocks it, and if I didn’t know it was a cover, I would have thought that it was a brand new Peaches track.
