_Coachella Announces 2011 Lineup

…And cue the music festival season.

Coachella has announced their 2011 lineup set for April 15-17th. As usual, the headliners are full of strong artists (I don’t understand Kings of Leon though…). Every year it looks more promising and I wish I could go this year. I wish. Weird how M.I.A. isn’t listed this year, her album came out last summer. Ticket info is on the Coachella website.

If I did go, I would definitely be checking out: Black Keys, Warpaint, Robyn, Crystal Castles, Cut Copy, Brandon Flowers, Sleigh Bells, Rural Alberta Advantage, Arcade Fire, Animal Collective, Mumford & Sons, Empire of the Sun, The Kills, Broken Social Scene, Kanye West, The Strokes (!!), Chromeo, Duck Sauce, and Ellie Goulding.

P.S. I love how they typo’d Crystal Castles. I hope this poster hasn’t been through print yet.

Summer time is here and it is time to start packing up and go on the search for the best music events around Europe. July- August is the busiest time of the year for festival’s organizers- all of them work extremely hard to make sure that their event will stand out in the crowed and top all the other crazily invested festivals out there. 2. Boom Festival, Portugal- 18-26 August

The Boom festival’s main aim is to inspire people to engage with each other and be free spirits for only a few days. The location is deep inside a magical forest where you will soon forget where you came from and who you are. What is planned in the program? Psychedelic Goa trance music, stimulating art objects as part of the setting, healing area where you will be able to recharge yourself and many more surprises.  It is also nice to know that the festival is welcoming everybody- from an older couple who come to enjoy the live act to little children who will get ecstatic by the music and colorful surroundings.

_Muse, Jay-Z, Gorillaz to Headline Coachella 2010

Why are there four question marks beside Thom Yorke? Is he not confirmed yet? It would be a bummer if he didn’t show up. Guess they want to be mysterious…

All I can say is that I wish I could go. I love most of the artists playing this year. Who’s going?
