Another video has been made for a track from Beth Ditto’s debut solo EP in collaboration with Simian Mobile Disco, this time called “I Wrote The Book”. If the scenes/vibe/cinematography seems familiar, it’s because she’s paying an homage to Madonna. Work it sister.

Cut Copy have recently released the video to “Need You Now“, their first single from their LP Zonoscope. The video is hilarious, I don’t really understand why there are athletes in it. Have hipsters moved on from cats, making athletes the new trend? Haha.

Yeasayer has released a music video to their new single “I Remember”. They are not uncommonly known for their weird music videos, this one not being an exception. Also, you can download a free EP with 2 remixes as well. (There’s a button on the video)

_RISING: Alpine – “Villages”

I love receiving emails from you guys. Sometimes you  email me about bands that I should listen to and post, and I usually end up pushing it aside to later. But eventually, I get through all of your mail and end up with gems like this band: Alpine. So keep on emailing me, I love to communicate with my readers and I promise to get back to you!

Alpine is a rising indie pop act from Melbourne. They consist of 6 members, 2 of which (Louisa & Phoebe) take turns melting our hearts with their warm, soothing vocals. Out with just one EP release, they’ve already set out their distinct enchanting pop-rock sound. From what I’ve heard so far, their EP Zurich isn’t too in-your-face, but far enough to grasp your full attention, and wanting more. For a band with just their first and only release last year, they definitely seem to be mellow and developed.

_Metronomy – “She Wants” (Music Video)

Metronomy makes a never ending video (seems like it) for their new single “She Wants”. We haven’t heard anything new from them in years and this is definitely not disappointing, so I’m glad. Their 3rd album (4th including their re-release) The English Riviera has no specific release date yet. Apparently if you scan the barcode at 2:51 it leads you tot their band website and you can download the song for free, but I don’t get how you would scan it. Help?

_Lykke Li – “I Follow Rivers” (Music Video)

Lykke Li plays the chaser in the video for “I Follow Rivers”, which is directed by Tarik Saleh. After this I realized that I’d love to watch Lykke in a movie, as this beautifully cinematographic-ally (?) shot, and she looks stunning in her heels while chasing her lover.

New Yorkers Creep have released the music video to “Days“, their debuting single featuring vocals with Romy from The xx. The beautiful video perfectly depicts their band name: creepy, glittery, and all sorts of strange.
