Yesterday night Vampire Weekend performed “Cousins” on David Letterman, and Ezra even added in some special effects such as ‘distorting’ or ‘compressing’ his vocals during the performance.

I was reading some of the comments on Youtube on this video, and some person claimed that they are using autotune. They are in fact, not. Can’t you hear it? I also read another comment that went like this:

“I listened to Contra… I didnt think I would like it. Its a good techno album but, like all sophomore albums, (or so it would seem) this one doesn’t really hit me like the first one did.”

Uhh…what? Vampire Weekend is not techno at all…not even close. What the hell are you talking about?

To be honest, I never really liked Kanye West that much. I wasn’t too into his music but I wouldn’t mind it if his ego was the size of Jupiter. I mean, in just the past month he has pissed off most of his fans in front of the VMA stage beside Taylor Swift and to top the cupcake (cake, in this matter) he had a heated argument backstage a couple days ago about chicken. CHICKEN. (Be a vegetarian, guys)

None of us even know what Gaga’s reaction to those two incidents are – does she still support him? I don’t think so, which is probably one of the reasons the tour got cut off – Kanye was being a fucking douchebag.

Lady GaGa has also been in the news a lot lately – from her bloody VMA performance to her outstanding outfits, the radio and TV cannot seem to stop playing her songs every 10 minutes. Her re-release of The Fame is also coming out soon which includes a bunch of new songs, and Gaga is slated to perform a new single on SNL soon.

Even though the tour might be canceled, Vinyl and Vodka bring you the exclusive news from a source that there are murmurs Gaga might organize her own tour dates, but for now nothing has been confirmed.

I paid $50 for a Kanye West club membership to get the best tickets possible for the tour (Floor GA), and spent $500 on tickets for me and my friends, so we better get our money back. And that $50. I don’t want my fucking Kanye West t-shirt.

This time around Neon Indian plays an acoustic cover of “Mi Viejo” by Jose Piero. I must also admit that I have never heard of Jose Piero. And I don’t speak Spanish. But this cover taped at Barcadia in Dallas, Texas for Fader TV is exceptional.  Completely raw and slow in tempo, Alan Palomo sings from a bar stool tapping sleigh bells while the band harmonizes ‘ooo’s’ beside him.  Palomo shows off his musical versatility and even represents his home country of Mexico in a mere five minutes.

“Terminally Chill” is a spacey multi-instrument, multi-media tune off of Neon Indian’s forthcoming album ‘Psychic Chasms.’ Dreamy and psychedelic in sound, this song is easy to kick off one’s shoes, lay back and stare out into Palomo’s light electronic wonderment. Understanding the lyrics could be the only problem.

About 2 months ago we were given a taste (rather, an entree) of Jean Paul Gaultier’s collaboration with Dragonette and Martin Solveig in “Boys & Girls”, the latest track being used for his adverts. We were also given a hint of an upcoming remix by an unknown artist at the time of the duet that was slated to be ‘released soon’.

The remix has finally arrived, and Les Petits Pilous from Boys Noize are one of the first to remix it. The song has been altered completely – and the result is a hot electro club banger.

L.A. indie folk band Princeton delivered us a new music video via Pitchfork, from their September 29th ‘Cocoon Of Love” album release, to “Martina & Clive Krantz”. The band gets murdered and killed in the video by a mysterious character (check out who it is in the end!).

It’s almost ironic to have a song called “Die Slow” if your band is named HEALTH. But hey, it’s cool to be ironic nowadays, right?

In April, noise rock band HEALTH emerged with their first new single since 2007: ‘Die Slow’ received immediate accolades from Pitchfork & NME, with the effects rippling across their DIE SLOW THROUGH EUROPE tour, resulting in a near-riot in Eastern Europe. The song’s infectious fusion of noise and dance was the most fully-formed and undeniably rad piece of music from HEALTH yet. And here is the music video.

If you have some sort of seizure problem or do not like blood I am warning you guys that there are flashes of a billion images and some blood in the end. (and some hot fashionable girls dancing)
