_iamamiwhoami – “o”

iamamiwhoami’s mystery has been analyzed by tons of fans and all points now lead to Jonna Lee. Her twitter has just went down and if you compare pictures of her and the videos, you can tell they are the same person.

Now I don’t know if I should call it ‘her’ or ‘they’, but iamamiwhoami just released a new song on Amazon, titled “o“. Following the single is also another video that goes with it, this time 6 minutes long.

This song almost reminds me of Fever Ray. It’s definitely a very experimental, haunting song. It’s great that she’s doing this, because I didn’t really know Jonna Lee before and now I do, and I thnk it’s the same situation for most of the other viewers out there.

iamamiwhoami strikes back again with another video that is titled ’23.5.12.3.15.13.5-8.15.13.5.3383‘, which means ‘W.E.L.C.O.M.E-H.O.M.E.3383′ if you use the number-letter conversion.

This one is basically a sequel to the previous one, and it shows us this girl in her cabin. I find the part where she is just sitting there with strawberries around her head staring into the camera so creepy, but I love it! I’m sure we will find out who she is pretty soon.

Another iamamiwhoami video has surfaced, and this time it features a barking dog, bouncing balls, and strawberries that are hanging from a ceiling. And this time she seems to be in a winter climate.

I’m just going to wait until the person steps up and says who they are but for now I’m loving this video, especially the creepy stare at the end.

iamamiwhoami strikes back again…with a third video titled “9.20.19.13.5.723378″. I wonder if the numbers have any meaning to it at all…

I just have to give a big kudos to the marketer and whoever is behind this because it’s creating such a huge buzz.

_Who Is iamamiwhoami?

Some person with the name ‘iamamiwhoami‘ has been sending links to these two Youtube videos of some blond musician who is still unknown to blogs. The woman in it is pictured licking a tree and doing other weird things to some poppy, bubble beats. It’s been viral for a couple days now, and everyone is guessing who it is.

Who is this chick? A lot of people are saying it’s Christina Aguilera (I honestly hope its not her, I’m liking these videos and completely hate Christina) (note: check our ‘Indie the new Outie’ article in our magazine) and Goldfrapp. It could also possible be Lady Gaga?

I think it’s Goldfrapp. Brad convinced me with some of his pointers. Turns out as well the Twitter account is fake.

Whatever this woman is doing, it’s good publicity. Either way, both Xtina and Goldfrapp are probably enjoying the publicity they’re getting. Check out the video that was released last month:
